Nebraska now requires photo ID at the polls. Online and mail registration close the third Friday before Election Day; in-person registration is open until the second Friday before.

Early voting
Early voting available approximately 30 days before Election Day at your county election office.
Absentee / mail-in
Application must be received by 11 days before Election Day. Ballot must be received by 8:00 PM Election Day.
ID requirements
Photo ID required as of 2024 (Nebraska DL/ID, US passport, military ID, tribal ID, or other government photo ID).
Election Day hours
Polls open 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM Central Time (or 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM Mountain Time in the Panhandle). If you are in line at closing, you can vote.
