Voting Guide.

Michigan offers at least 9 days of in-person early voting, no-excuse absentee voting, and Election Day registration with proof of residency.

Registration deadline: 15 days before Election Day (online/mail). Same-day registration available at your local clerk's office and polling place on Election Day with proof of residency.
Early voting: At least 9 days of in-person early voting (Saturday before Election Day through 2 days before).
Absentee / mail-in: Application can be submitted any time before Election Day. Ballot must be received by 8:00 PM Election Day.
ID requirements: Photo ID requested. If you don't have one, sign an affidavit and your ballot is counted normally.
Election Day hours: Polls open 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM Eastern Time (Central in the western UP). If you are in line at 8:00 PM, you can vote.

All registered voters can vote absentee with no excuse needed.
Election Day registration is available at your city or township clerk's office — bring proof of residency.
Sign up for the permanent mail ballot list to receive a ballot automatically for every election.
