Connecticut now offers in-person early voting and Election Day registration. The standard registration deadline is 7 days before Election Day for online or mail registration.

Registration deadline
7 days before Election Day (online and mail). Election Day Registration is available in person at designated EDR locations.
Early voting
14 days of early voting for general elections (7 days for primaries; 4 days for special elections).
Absentee / mail-in
Apply any time before Election Day. Ballot must be received by 8:00 PM Election Day.
ID requirements
Some form of ID requested (photo or non-photo with name and address). If none, you can sign an affidavit.
Election Day hours
Polls open 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM Eastern Time. If you are in line at 8:00 PM, you can vote.
