Early voting
No traditional in-person early voting. Absentee voting (with a qualifying excuse) is available in person at your county absentee election manager's office.

Extra info:

  • An excuse is required to vote absentee — common excuses include being out of the county, illness, work, or being a student.
  • Alabama does not have early voting in the typical sense; in-person absentee is the closest equivalent.
  • If you don't have a photo ID, you can get a free Alabama photo voter ID from your county registrar's office.
